Concurrent’s Real-Time I/O Cards

Concurrent offers a wide range of PCIe, PCI and VME data acquisition I/O cards on its iHawk real-time multiprocessing systems. All I/O cards are supported by RedHawk Linux operating system drivers and are fully integrated and tested in iHawk solutions tailored to specific application needs.

PCIe I/O cards designed and manufactured by Concurrent include NIST-certified analog input and output cards and high-performance FPGA-based cards designed specifically for automotive industry applications.

Real-Time Clock & Interrupt Module (RCIM IV)

Driver: WC-DA3218

A multifunction card with a synchronized clock, eight programmable real-time clocks, and twelve input or output interrupt lines. Ideal for simulation, data acquisition, and industrial control solutions, the RCIM is compatible with Concurrent’s iHawk™ and RedHawk™ Linux®.

RCIM IV

64-Channel Analog Input Card

Driver: WP-ADS6418

An FPGA-based analog-to-digital converter card with a PCI Express interface. It can convert up to 500k samples/second per channel when using 64 channels. It also supports use as a 32-channel card where it supports up to 700k samples/second per channel. This card is ideal for use in HIL simulation and testing.

Analog Output Converter Cards

Driver: WC-DA3218

Support 18-bit digital-to-analog conversion with either 32 channels or 8 channels. They support various features, such as an optional wave generation package that provides an easy and powerful mechanism for users to generate continuous and unique waveforms on any specified channels of the card.

A 32-channel analog to digital 24-bit delta sigma converter card with a PCI Express interface. The interface is fully differential right up to the converter inputs for low noise and accurate measurements.

Digital Input Change-of-State Card

A 64-channel TTL interface that can track the change of state of digital inputs at 100 MHz (10 nanoseconds). It supports a maximum depth of 128 elements and can synchronize other systems to the clock onboard.

Engine Sensor Simulation Card

A customized version of Concurrent’s programmable FPGA card specially designed for HIL engine control unit (ECU) testing. The card and its associated firmware can support two- and four-cycle engines with up to sixteen cylinders and four independent, variable-phase camshafts.

Pulse Width Modulation Cards

Driver: WP-PWM-1112 (input), WP-PWM-1012 (output)

The PWM input card is designed to capture PWM signals with high accuracy and features a timing resolution of 15 nanoseconds and the ability to measure the frequency and duty cycle.

The PWM output card can autonomously generate TTL PWM signals with a timing resolution of 50 nanoseconds and has the ability to program sine frequencies, PWM frequencies, dead-band and duty cycle in real-time.

Both cards are ideal for use in high-performance HIL simulation and test applications.

A 4-channel Universal Exhaust Gas Oxygen Sensor simulator card with a PCI Express interface that is ideal for high-performance hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation and test applications. It allows software simulation to control the operating feedback parameters as if an O2 sensor was connected to an engine control ECU.
