2023 Military & Aerospace Electronics Innovators Awards Honor Concurrent Real-Time’s RedHawk Linux for NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin
Concurrent Real-Time, a global provider of high-performance real-time Linux solutions for mission-critical applications, announced today that its RedHawk™ Linux for NVIDIA® Jetson AGX Orin™ was recognized as being among the best products by the 2023 Military & Aerospace Electronics Innovators Awards.
Concurrent Real-Time was recognized as a Gold Honoree by an esteemed and experienced panel of judges from the aerospace and defense community. This is the third year in a row that Concurrent Real-Time has been honored by Military & Aerospace Electronics for its innovative products. In 2022, Concurrent Real-Time was recognized as a Platinum honoree for its RedHawk KVM-RT virtual real-time solution – the best real-time Linux hypervisor on the market today. In 2021, Concurrent Real-Time’s garnered Platinum recognition for its FPGA Workbench Software, a complete customizable development environment for the company’s programmable FPGA cards.
The RedHawk Linux operating system is the foundation of Concurrent Real-Time’s entire real-time product portfolio and is the most advanced real-time open-source RTOS available in the marketplace today. By leveraging the power of multi-processor, multi-core technology, RedHawk guarantees real-time performance in mission-critical applications where failure to respond on-time is simply not an option.
“I would like to congratulate Concurrent Real-Time for garnering Gold recognition in this competitive program,” said Military & Aerospace Electronics Editor in Chief John Keller. “Our Innovator Awards allow Military & Aerospace Electronics to celebrate and recognize the most innovative products impacting the aerospace and defense community this year,” he added.
“We have partnered with NVIDIA since 2016, providing products specifically designed to support real-time applications on their platforms, noted Ken Jackson, President of Concurrent Real-Time. “Our customers are excited that Redhawk Linux for the NVIDIA Jetson Orin is now available and able to achieve higher determinism and lower latencies than any previous NVIDIA platform,” he added.
The Redhawk Linux RTOS developer kit works seamlessly with Jetson AGX Orin so that advanced applications that take advantage of top-of-the-line computing capability can be built to garner the competitive edge.
The NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin Developer Kit with its PCIe x16 slot also supports Concurrent Real-Time’s FPGA-based intelligent I/O cards. The RedHawk Linux environment on the AGX Orin supports Concurrent Real-Time’s SIMulation Workbench,™ a comprehensive hard real-time simulation framework that enables the execution of MathWorks® Simulink™ models, custom C/C++ code, and handwritten as well as MathWorks GPU Coder™ generated CUDA® code.
With seven different modules based on the same architecture–from the entry-level Jetson Orin Nano™ to the highest performance Jetson AGX Orin™—Concurrent Real-Time and NVIDIA are ideally partnered to address the emerging needs of the new age of robotics.
