Position Summary

  • Responsible for leading the US/EU Concurrent Real-Time (Real-Time) Sales Team.
  • Responsible for a direct sales territory.
  • Responsible for tasks and projects as assigned by President.
  • US Citizen, located in US.

Essential Duties

  • Works closely with President to meet individual, US, and EU revenue goals.
  • Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop the sales program{s) for the Real-Time product line.
  • Analyzes sales statistics to formulate policy and to assist our sales team in promoting sales.
  • Reviews market analysis to determine customer needs, volume potential, and develops sales campaigns to accommodate goals of company.
  • Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product.
  • Coordinates liaison between sales department and other sales relate marketing, customer services and product development units.
  • Analyzes and controls expenditures of the US sales team to conform to budgetary requirements.
  • Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume and potential sales.
  • Leads the US/EU sales team by example in performing the leadership role.
  • Required to live/travel in or near assigned territory.
  • Identify sales prospects, make sales calls and develop proposals based on customers’ requirements. Travel to customer sites is a prerequisite.
  • Identifies demand for new product and channels information to home office.

Education & Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science and/or an equivalent combination of education and industry experience. Master’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science preferred.

Experience Requirements

Over 20 years, up to and including 25 years with significant experience in related products and a minimum of 5 years in sales/marketing management roles.

Financial & Authority Scope

Responsible for increasing sales revenue across the US and EU sectors.


  • Internal – Interface with co-workers and staff from other departments and ensures positive working relationships in a team environment.
  • External – Interface with Customers and partners.  Develop vendor relationships to support products.

Judgement and Decision Making

Highly complex work performed within general department or functional policies and objectives requiring original thinking.  Receives general direction as to broad assignments, determines methods, and delivers final results. The work is carried out according to principles, targets and policies enforced by the organization. The position holder, as a rule, plans how the job assignments in the form of projects and analysis shall be carried out but usually another position holder must approve the ideas and control results. The work consists of assignments usually demanding solutions to complicated problems where the position holder, through studies/investigations/research, and with certain guidance from previous experience, systematically develops methods and techniques to solve a problem and/or develop new approaches.

Supervisory Responsibility

Supervisory responsibility of 6 – 15 sales employees. Nature of work supervised is technical and complex and involves a moderate degree of modification and adaptation of process, equipment, practices, and procedures.
